Dr Rekha Daver is the Ex Dean of Govt. Medical College Akola and Ex Head & Professor Obstetrics & Gynecology at Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J. Gr. Hospitals Mumbai. She is currently the Head of Medical Education, Consultant OBGY, Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital Mumbai. From past 38 years she is tirelessly working with government of Maharashtra towards better health care of women. UNAIDS has recognized her work and put a feature story “TIRELESS INDIAN DOCTOR DEDICATED TO WOMEN’S HEALTH”. On an average, Dr Rekha Daver has been performing almost 1,000 deliveries and 900 surgeries, every year. As a researcher, she also worked on prevention of mother -to- child transmission of HIV, in its first phase of research, the success rate was estimated to be 95% and recent studies conducted in USA and UK, yielded almost 100% results, in second phase. Dr Rekha Daver has been nominated by GOI as leading lady in many medical core groups. Dr Rekha Daver has been recipients of numerous awards, appreciations and accolades.
